"Scotty is both a very funny guy and a good friend, but he also showed a strength personal character, when he and I controlled a theater of 400+ very nervous guests during very rough seas on the Prinsendam, that I will always remember with the greatest respect."

Thom Faulkner, Cruise Director, ms Prinsendam – 7 September 2010

"He had the Audience on their feet"
"We really were enjoying the show, but when he made the North Sea appear! WOW – never seen anything like that before!

Norbert Noisewater, Greenbow, Alabama

"My wife and I were in the showroom at sea enjoying Scotty McLeans performance. As the pitching motion of the ship became more pronounced guests became nervous and concerned. I believe Mr McLean became aware of that and at first made light of the situation. When it became difficult for him to carry on with his act Thomas Faulkner suggested that it be abanded. About that time you made your announcemant from the bridge and ordered guests to remain where they were. Very soon after your annoucement the windows were broken and water cascaded over the stage and onto the dance floor. Thomas and Mr McLean imediately assessed the situation and assisted crew members to safely remove guests seated on the dance floor.

Operating ships at sea is not without risks. Holland America Lines manages those risks through planning, establishing health, safety and security programs, maintenance and training. However these managemnet proceedures would not be successful without the training, rewarding and promoting of people of the calibar of Mr Faulkner and Mr McLean.

"I have had the great pleasure of having Scotty Mclean be a part of the entertainment line up on the Azamara Quest. He is very funny as well as entertaining and the would not hesitate having him back as he is very innovative with his magic as well as unique with his jokes. He is a true crowd pleaser."

Russ Grieve, Cruise Director, Azamara Club Cruises

"While Scotty lived and worked in Hollywood, California in the late 80’s and early 90’s, it was my pleasure to be his theatrical agent booking him on to the top cruise lines of the day such as Royal Viking Line and Norwegian Cruise Line. His success continued on land with return engagements at Wizards Supper Club in Newport Beach and the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. His dedication to his craft and enthusiasm to entertain was always a joy to watch."

Ron Wilson – President Emeritus, the Magic Castle.
